Maintenance Worker I - The Belmont Complex

Overall Responsibilities:
 Provides maintenance duties as required. Stocks department supplies. Cleans restrooms and locker rooms. Checks gauges, takes log readings and other equipment for proper operation, and makes minor adjustments under the supervision of the supervisor. Makes rounds to ensure safety within buildings. Collects trash and recyclables. Transports materials to/from proper departments. Changes light bulbs as needed. Operates power equipment and hand tools. Cuts grass with mower, riding tractor and trimming equipment. Shovels snow from walks and driveways. Paints buildings, fixtures, and other objects as required. Maintains the ice surface and dasher board system. Cleans the pool and pool filter under the supervision of the supervisor. Assists with setting up and cleaning for special events. Performs maintenance and custodial work as needed. Performs other job related duties as required. Wears Belmont Complex clothing during public hours of operation.
Minimum Qualifications
  1. EDUCATION/TRAINING: High school diploma or equivalent. Trade school training in electrical, plumbing, carpentry and painting a plus.
2.      WORK EXPERIENCE: 6-12 months working experience in maintenance or custodial environment required. 2-4 years experience in maintenance or custodial environment preferred.

Approximately 20 to 30 hours per week as needed.
