Assistant Financial Officer - Full-Time

Kittanning, PA

This is a full-time position at $14.00/hr., 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday thru Friday

Overall Responsibilities, included but are not limited to:  
Assists with the following: balancing Prothonotary/Clerk Books/Daily Deposit; entering Positive Pay; DOR check entries; Jail check entries/work release; controlling custody of exhibits in court cases; DOB check entries; assists attorneys and customers at counter with a variety of department needs including researching judgements, liens and civil cases; performing routine accounts receivable functions; entering and maintaining civil and criminal database; preparing and distributing copies of documents as directed; performing general clerical duties such as data entry, copying, proofreading, and printing; processing fine payments; passport photo agent; bank reconciliations; Act 847 reports and checks; processing divorce decrees; federal tax liens; answer phones; prepare magistrate appeals/summaries; etc.

EDUCATION/TRAINING:High School Diploma or equivalent, plus some computer
and bookkeeping skills required.  Associates Degree in Accounting preferred.
WORK EXPERIENCE:Working experience in office environment, county government, court system, or any acceptable combination of training and experience.
