Office Manager - Full-time - Voter Registration

Kittanning, PA

This is a full-time position at 37.5 hours per week, M - F.  Pay rate is $17.65 per hour.

Overall Responsibilities:
To perform clerical duties and responsibilities within the departments as assigned.

Duties include but are not limited to:
Assists with answering phones within departments and directs calls to appropriate individuals; prepares, sorts, processes and files correspondence and departmental documents; assists with processing, distributing and mailing of correspondence; assists general public in person or on the telephone.
Maintains department files; types notifications and departmental documents as requested; proofreads for accuracy; operates computer, copy machine, scanner and other office equipment as needed to perform essential functions of job; assists with maintaining voter registration database; assists voters, poll workers, candidates, political parties and general public on Election Day; processes Absentee Ballots; serves as back up to the Director of Voter Registration in Director’s absence; attends meetings and training as required; Responsible for coordinator of County general office supply orders as directed; etc.

EDUCATION/TRAINING:  High school diploma or equivalent, plus some computers training.                         

WORK EXPERIENCE:  Clerical work experience in county government or legal environment preferred.
