This ia a full-time position at $35,373.00 per year, M - F.
Overall Responsibilities:
To independently lead and execute the full lifecycle of funding acquisition and program management, including the analysis, procurement, and technical administration of diverse grants, bequests, and foundation funding crucial for county-wide economic and community development projects.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Resource Development and Proposal Leadership: Leads the identification of funding opportunities across government and philanthropic sectors. Manages the process for securing, documenting, and administering non-competitive funding (including bequests, foundation grants, and private donations) and directs the preparation of competitive proposals for government grants, ensuring all funding is secured and documented in compliance with donor intent and regulations; Grant and Funding Administration: Manages and ensures the technical and financial compliance of all awarded grants and secured bequests, including reporting, budgeting, and documentation required by funding agencies; Planning and Project Management: Independently manages assigned economic and community development projects, providing technical assistance and oversight to ensure timely completion and successful outcomes; Stakeholder Interaction: Serves as a primary point of contact for external stakeholders, including local officials and funding agencies, regarding grant and project status updates and technical inquiries; Monitoring and Records: Establishes and maintains comprehensive financial and programmatic record-keeping systems for all funding sources and projects.
EDUCATION/TRAINING: Bachelor’s degree in Planning, Public Administration, Communications or related field.
WORK EXPERIENCE:1–3 years of experience in grant writing, project management, or financial administration, or any acceptable combination of experience and training. A Master’s Degree in a related field is equivalent to two years of required experience.
