Community Development Coordinator - Full-time

Overall Responsibilities:
To assist the County and other public entities and municipalities to plan and secure grant funds in order to implement a variety of programs/projects needed within the County area.
 
Duties include but are not limited to:
Assists County, municipalities, non-profits and other public entities in community development planning and identification of funding opportunities. Develops grant proposals to obtain needed funding for community development projects and administers grants. Administers various grant programs including the preparation of environmental reviews, compliance plans and procurement programs. Performs income verification for program eligibility. Performs budget reviews and makes required modifications and revisions. Assists in researching, analyzing, interpreting and reporting data needed for planning, development and funding. Maintains records and data as necessary and completes required reports in timely and accurate manner. Interacts with local officials and others as needed regarding planning and development ideas/proposals and funding. Answers questions from agencies, government offices, funding sources, and general public regarding Planning and Development Department issues. Travels periodically to various locations to inspect projects and meet with public officials, engineers, and contractors. 

Minimum Qualifications:
EDUCATION/TRAINING:
         Bachelor’s degree in Planning or related field.
 
WORK EXPERIENCE:
            1-3 years planning experience, or any acceptable combination of experience and training.

This is a non-exempt, full-time position.  Hours of work; M - F, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (1 hr. unpaid lunch)
