This is a full-time position, M - F, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (1 hour unpaid lunch; 37.5 hour work week).
To perform varied secretarial and administrative functions in a timely manner to assure efficient operation of Commissioners’ Office.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Assist all Commissioners and Administrators in a variety of administrative duties, as assigned; type labels, reports, letters, memos, proclamations, resolutions and other documents, as needed, using Microsoft Office products, as directed; sorts, opens and logs Commissioners’ incoming mail for review and prioritization; enter data into the County’s Document Management System in a timely manner; run reports as needed; interact with all County departments; assist all Commissioners and County Administrators in a variety of clerical duties, as assigned, including but not limited to meeting schedules in Outlook calendars; prepare meeting room prior to said meetings; assist with all office activities, as needed; process County mail and outgoing mail, which may require occasional trips to local post office. Prepares monthly postage report; assist various County departments with some document handling and report preparation needs as directed by the County Administrator.
High school diploma or equivalent plus some clerical and computer training required. Notary Public a plus
2 years of work experience, preferably in county government or legal office environment or any acceptable combination of experience and training.
