Department Clerk III - Full-time - Prothonotary/Clerk of Courts

Kittanning, PA
This is a full-time position, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, M - F.

Overall Responsibilities include but are not limited to
:  

To perform clerical duties and specialized accounts receivable functions within the assigned department. Performs specialized accounts receivable functions. Assists customers at counter with fines and costs payments. Collects and reconciles cash payments. Enters data into criminal/civil database. Prepares daily deposit on rotation basis. Prepares and distributes copies of documents as directed. Operates typewriter, computer and other office equipment. Prepares and processes required department forms and reports. Balances and reconciles various collection reports/accounts. Performs a variety of clerical duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/TRAININGHigh School Diploma or equivalent, plus computer and bookkeeping skills required.  Associates Degree in Accounting preferred.
WORK EXPERIENCE2-3 years working experience in office environment, county government, court system, or any acceptable combination of training and experience.
