This is a full-time position, M - F, 8 AM to 4:30 PM.
To perform specialized clerical duties and intake responsibilities within the department, following established methods and procedures.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Completes daily mail via the computer and first class mail related to the scheduling of cases. Contacts other County and State government offices and agencies to determine how an action will proceed. Receives court orders, sends wage attachments on cases. Processes IV-A referrals via interface with the Department of Public Welfare. Interacts with the public, clients, attorneys or other government agencies. Updates all client information. Assists the receptionist at the front counter. Attends required training programs. Interviews client to obtain information required for support complaint. Resolves issues with the clients before referring to the assigned officer in charge of the case. Generates PACSES reports and releases child support receipts placed on hold. Completes PACSES Financial Exceptions Requests.
High school diploma or equivalency, plus some clerical, bookkeeping and computer training required.
1 year clerical working experience in a DRS office or the equivalent thereof, including general office skills, computer and record keeping and file maintenance.
