911 Systems Analyst

This is a full-time position.  Approved candidate will work a set schedule but will be on call as needed.

Overall Responsibilities

This is professional and administrative work in the installation, maintenance, upgrade, and emergency response repair of all Department of Public Safety Information Systems, including but not limited to 9-1-1 telephony, Computer Aided Dispatch, ICORRS (the Inter County Regional Radio System) Public Safety Radio, EOC  computers, the Mobile Command Post, the Region 13 ESINet, and related networking.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Configures, installs, maintains, upgrades, and repairs department computers. Provides technical service and training to Department users. Responds after hours to critical system alarms and failures. Diagnoses, troubleshoots, and resolves hardware, software, and network problems. Maintains department web site. Conducts tower site inspections of IT equipment. Interacts with local police departments, ambulance services, state police and volunteer fire and rescue departments. Develops templates and programs subscriber radios for the ICORRS system. Represents the county on the ICORRS technical sub-committee. Maintain the ICORRS radio network at the local level and works with other counties on the regional level. Works with ICORRS vendor and support vendors. Maintains connectivity for the Computer Aided Dispatch system. Maintains the WestCORE 9-1-1 telephony network at the local level and works with other counties on the regional level. Works with WestCORE vendors and support vendors. Maintains connectivity of County fiber network at the local level.  Works with fiber provider vendor and support vendors.  Works with the county IT department to assure continuity and integrity of county systems. Maintains all systems in the Mobile Command Post. Programs, maintains, and installs IP based telephones in the department. Works with PEMA to support Emergency Notification systems. Serves as network administrator for the department.

Minimum Qualifications: 
EDUCATION/TRAINING: Associate’s Degree in a Computer Science related field preferred, with networking concentration. Cisco Network Associate Routing and Switching, and Cisco Entry Network Technician certifications are preferred. Must have a valid PA Driver’s license and successfully complete all pre-employment screenings. Experience in public safety such as EMS, Firefighting, or Law Enforcement is preferred. Must complete Advanced NIMS training within 60 days of hire. Must obtain Level 1 NCIC clearance within five (5) days of hire.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
2-4 years of work experience in microcomputer technical support, networking, or any acceptable combination of experience and training.
