This is a full-time position at 37.5 hours per week, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, M - F.
To plan, organize and conduct program management for economic and community development initiatives.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Assists County, municipalities, non-profits and other public entities in economic and community development planning and identification of funding opportunities; develops grant proposals to obtain needed funding for community and economic development projects and administers grants; interacts with local officials and others as needed regarding planning and development ideas/proposals and funding; assists in administering the County’s Subdivision and Land Development Ordinance; assists in administering the County’s Liquid Fuels Program including preparation of annual budget, audit coordination and reporting; monitors and maintains records of program status; answers public inquiries or directs callers to responsible individual; prepares press releases for media distribution.
Bachelor’s degree in Planning, Public Administration, Communications or related field.
1-3 years planning experience, or any acceptable combination of experience and training.
