This position is a casual part-time position at 1 to 3 days per month during jury selection and court trials.

Overall Objective of the Job:
To escort and assist jurors during juror selection process and trials; to serve as liaison between judges and jurors.
 
Essential Functions of the Job may include but are not limited to:
Meets and greets jurors upon arrival at the courthouse; assists jurors in registration and finding seats; receives juror complaints and where possible corrects problems to ensure juror convenience; escorts jurors in and out of courtroom; informs Judges of juror readiness; arranges for meals and makes telephone calls for jurors; attends to any other details while jurors are in court; maintains juror security, secrecy and integrity during jury deliberations; Tipstaff/Court Crier calls court into session in the morning and following recesses and lunch; assists with sequestration process when necessary by providing around-the-clock coverage of jurors, etc.

EDUCATION/TRAINING: High School diploma or equivalent.
WORK EXPERIENCE:  No experience required; however, experience working within the court system helpful.
