Accountant/Auditor - Controller's Office

Kittanning, PA
This is a casual part-time position at approximately 18.75 hours per week, Monday thru Friday.

Position is expected to be filled in January, 2022.

Overall Responsibilities:
To assist the Chief Accountant/Auditor with timely execution of risk-based internal audits in accordance with an annual audit plan, as well as assisting with other audit matter and projects.

Duties include but are not limited to:
Conducting risk assessment of assigned department or functional area in established/required timeframe; establishing risk-based audit programs; determining scope of review in conjunction with the Chief Accountant/Auditor; reviewing the suitability of internal control design; conducting audit testing of specified area and identify reportable issues and dimension of risk; determining compliance with policies and procedures; and communicating findings to senior management and draft comprehensive and complete report of audit area.

Minimum Qualifications:
​​​EDUCATION/TRAINING:
Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s Degree in Accounting or Finance from accredited college or university, CPA or CIA preferred.  Strong computer skills required.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
 2-4 years financial experience working in public accounting/auditing, and/or experience working in the public sector or any acceptable combination of education and experience.  Financial software programs experience desired.
