Facilities, Systems & Maintenance Supervisor - Full-time

Overall Objective of Job:
To direct and supervise the general maintenance of the buildings and grounds of the County Jail.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Maintains jail mechanical systems for internal security, including but not limited to cameras, intercoms and pad alarm systems. Ensures the operation of environment systems. (i.e., heating , cooling) Operates and maintains Jail Management Systems. Manages, maintains and updates inmate and in-house phone systems. Coordinates and supervises inmate work duties. Prepares and submits budget recommendation in assigned area of responsibility. Performs maintenance and repair duties as required on Jail buildings and equipment. Makes plumbing, electrical, heating and air conditioning repairs. Maintains Maintenance inventory and recommends creation of purchase orders for Warden's approval. Unloads and restocks items into inventory from various suppliers. Removes and installs rental televisions on a daily basis and maintains accounting of same. Maintains contracts for rental television and commissary credit.  Answers directly to Jail administration.

EDUCATION/TRAINING: High school diploma plus trade school training in electrical, plumbing, carpentry.  Associate Degree preferred.  Must be willing to complete and pass Training at PA Department of Corrections Basic Training Academy 5-week training course.  Must possess a valid Pennsylvania Driver's License and a willingness to travel as needed. 
WORK EXPERIENCE: 3 - 5 years’ experience in facility maintenance/grounds.  Some computer skills necessary, or any acceptable combination of experience and training.

Hours:  8 AM to 4 PM, Monday thru Friday (schedule may be adjusted as necessary); must be available for on-call.
