This is a full-time position at 37.5 hours per week, M - F, 8 AM to 4:30 PM.
To perform varied complex administrative functions in a timely manner to ensure the efficient operation of the Jury Commission Office by assisting the Jury Commission/ District Court Administrator in jury management and administrative functions, and when necessary, the Prothonotary and Clerk of Court’s Offices.
Responsibilities may include, but not be limited to, overseeing the jury selection process by processing questionnaires, summonses, excuses, and answering phone calls from prospective jurors; maintaining all jury lists and statistics; copying all jury questionnaires on the day of jury selection; assisting District Court Administrator and Assistant Court Administrator in managing daily clerical tasks; answering office phones; filling in when needed in the Court Administrator’s office; collecting and handling daily mail; doing monthly court statistics and ordering office supplies; organizing and setting up for Jury Selection date, as well as checking in all potential jurors and verifying information and qualifications of each; providing structure and guidance to jurors on Jury Selections day completing other assignments, as assigned; processing final juror lists and submits report to Controller’s office for further processing; assisting other office staff as necessary.
High school diploma or GED equivalent with specialized course work in general office practices such as typing, filing, accounting and bookkeeping. Strong experience interfacing with the public and clerical and administrative abilities required.
3 years of experience in clerical/computer training and experience in legal, judicial, or government setting, or any acceptable combination of experience and training.
